Our client, a large health system in CT, located near Bridgeport, has a need for a Lead EP (electrophysiology Tech) Tech to join their team. This is an Day shift position. They are looking for local candidates as they do not offer relocation assistance or cover interviewing expenses.
Performs in a leadership role within the Cardiovascular Suite and to coordinate and deliver high quality patient care reflective of our values. Will have management and oversight of all Electrophysiology inventories, catheters and implants as well as other disposable supplies related to the procedures in the department. He/She will be responsible for and have oversight of billing and charging for supplies and maintaining an accurate inventory. He/She will be responsible for preforming daily and other regular Quality Assurance checks of the equipment and maintaining those records.
He/She will demonstrate the knowledge, skills and abilities to support a high quality, clinical execution of the full array of Electrophysiology and Cardiac procedures, including device insertions, Electrophysiology Studies and Ablations in the laboratory setting, as well as patient prep, hemodynamic and EKG monitoring, complication management and the orientation of staff to the Electrophysiology Lab in order to promote and maintain patient safety in an environment reflective of our values.
Required Skills
Minimum 2 years cardiac cath lab/Electrophysiology Lab experience
Candidates who are proficient in providing technical assistance in EP procedures such as device implants (PM, ICD, and Bi-V devices) and catheter ablations (SVT, AF and VT) will be highly preferred
Hands on knowledge of Fluoro and imaging systems ( Carto, Prucka, Cryo and CardioLab experience preferred)
Requires thorough knowledge of specialized or technical field. May compile objective and measurable data and produce reports. May require operating knowledge of specific clinical areas such as Laboratory, Pharmacy or computer science. May require in-depth knowledge of work performed by various clerical, service or medical areas in order to provide guidance or supervision. Knowledge of Medical Terminology and JCAHO requirements.
High School Diploma or GED
RRT registration, 3-5yrs experience or RCES/RCIS
CT license
BCLS, ACLS current
